Ministers' Blog

Into All The World

By Don Loftis | 11.20.13

One of the most encouraging aspects of ministry is to see what the Lord is doing throughout the world.  World English Institute utilizes the internet to teach the Bible, while its instructors help students around the world learn English.  Their most recent newsletter showed pictures of students being baptized in Mozambique, Albania, Tanzania, India, and the Ukraine.

These exciting reports show the Great Commission being carried out in our generation.  Nearly 2000 years ago Jesus said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).

We live in an exciting era with almost unlimited potential to share the Gospel around the world.  Some cultures are more responsive than others; some are more accessible than others.  However, technology is allowing the powerful message of Jesus to touch lives everyday in amazing ways.

I am asking you to join me in doing three crucial things in evangelizing the whole world.  First, every day pray that the lost will hear the Gospel, and that doors will continue to open for the saving message of Jesus.  Secondly, let’s commit to teaching someone.  Maybe you will travel overseas, or use the internet, or mail a correspondence course, or have a friend over for coffee.  Finally, let’s open our pockets and give generously to support missionaries and mission projects.  Rest assured, God will do His part, if we do ours!
