Our Elders


Keaton Bell

Keaton began serving the congregation as one of its elders in 2016. He and his wife Lisa have been members of Old Hickory since 2002 and have worked together in children's ministry through the years, including our current Break Night efforts. They have four children (Hillary, Lindsey, Garrett and Gunter) and currently have five grandsons. Keaton graduated from MTSU with a degree in accounting and has worked in both public accounting and private industry. He enjoys reading, teaching Bible classes, running and travelling as time allows.


Don Dugger

Don began serving as an elder in June of 2015. He and his wife Janice came to Old Hickory in 1988. He has been involved in leading singing over the years and currently serves in the area of congregational worship. Don and Janice have three sons, Mike, Don, and David (1976 - 2010). They also have five grandchildren.

Jim Oliver

Jim Oliver received his degree in Math and Chemistry at David Lipscomb University and is a retired DuPont Senior Research Chemist. Jim has been a member of the Old Hickory congregation since 1962. During that time he has worked as a teacher, helped with our Bible Camp and Vacation Bible School, and has served as an elder since October of 1989. He and his wife, Bitsy, have 2 sons and 6 grandchildren. Jim enjoys golf, traveling, doing mission work, and working with Disaster Relief.


Steve Pilkinton

Steve Pilkinton became an elder in October of 1998. He and his wife, Sherry, have been members at Old Hickory for over 30 years and have two daughters, Shellie and Stephanie. Along with serving as an elder, Steve also taught the 5th and 6th grade class for several years. Steve graduated from Austin Peay State University and has worked in computer sales for over 25 years. He enjoys fishing, computer games, and playing the guitar.
