Tell us your story?
Jesus prayed that His followers would be one (John 17.21). So how do you build a close-knit church? One way to grow closer is through a deeper understanding of each other’s stories. On fifth Sundays, we have a fellowship meal followed by activities designed to link our hearts together.
You build trust and unity in the church by connecting with each other's stories. That is why we created a quarterly publication to feature articles about our members (My Story) and celebrate our activities (Our Story). At our fellowship meal, we also conduct live interviews with members from various age groups.
Through common meals, shared service, inspirational articles, and informative interviews, we grow closer one story at a time. Intergenerational churches do not occur by accident. Rather, it takes thoughtful planning and diligent practice. Our commitment to being interwoven in Christ is another reason Old Hickory is a great place to call home.
